Project
Focused Ultrasound Foundation Family Tree

Project Overview
The primary goal of my project was document connections between physicians and clinicians within the focused ultrasound community worldwide.

Project Outcomes
By the end of my internship, I was able to document more than 500 physicians and clinicians into a database that included basic information about their occupation and achievements.

Why were you initially interested in working with the Focused Ultrasound Foundation?
I plan on going into the medical field, and I wanted to gain more experience in a research environment.

Describe your experience as an intern.
I loved being an intern at the Foundation. Not only were my fellow interns incredibly supportive but the entire staff helped me excel at my provided task. There were many valuable takeaways for me, such as skills in communication and information analysis.

What was the most important learning point of your internship experience?
My most important learning point of my internship experience was making my first mistake in my analysis. I had mixed information around and had to entirely reroute a portion of my tree. I was able to fix it and learned a more productive way to format the information and ensure it is correctly assigned.

How will your accomplishments impact the field of focused ultrasound?
I hope that my accomplishments will show members of the focused ultrasound community that they are more intertwined than they think. As a result, information and questioning can be increased globally.
