Physics for Medicine Paris Named a Center of Excellence

The Foundation has named Physics for Medicine Paris as its latest Center of Excellence. Led by scientific director Jean-François Aubry, PhD, the site focuses on collaboration, education, and translating technical work to the clinic. On December 5, the site held an inaugural event to mark this prestigious distinction.

Former Intern, Colleague Awarded Prestigious Chancellerie Prize

Guillaume Maimbourg, PhD, and Charlotte Constans, PhD, have both received the “Prix de la Chancellerie des Universités de Paris” for their thesis work at Physics for Medicine Paris.

First Patient Treated in Trial Combining Focused Ultrasound and Chemotherapy for Brain Metastases

At 33, Kathryn was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer that eventually spread to her brain. She was the first patient treated in a landmark trial aiming to use focused ultrasound to enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy.
