The Foundation is pleased to welcome US Ambassador Shefali Razdan Duggal to its Council, a dedicated group of goodwill ambassadors who work closely with the Board of Directors and staff to provide advice and assist with raising funds and building awareness.
Ambassador Razdan Duggal served as the United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands from 2022–2025 and is the first person of color to serve in this role. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Council of American Ambassadors, Foreign Policy for America, Meridian International Center and a Board Member of the Netherlands America Foundation.
She has previously served as a member of the National Finance Committee for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, National Co-Chair of Women for Biden, Deputy National Finance Chair at the Democratic National Committee, a member of the National Board of Directors of EMILYs List, and an Obama Administration–appointed Council member (and later Western Regional Advisor) to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.

Ambassador Razdan Duggal holds a BS in mass communication, with a minor in political science, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and an MA in media ecology from New York University. She also received an honorary doctorate from Miami University.
