  • The Foundation is asking Congress to appropriate $10 million to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs for focused ultrasound research and clinical care.
  • We encourage to you to read our letter and add your name in support by signing our letter by March 24.

The Foundation and our partners at G2G Consulting are preparing a letter to submit to Congressional leadership urging support to advance focused ultrasound for our nation’s veterans. We are asking Congress to appropriate $10 million to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs for focused ultrasound research and clinical care.

The timing is ideal, as Congress is in the midst of determining funding levels for all government programming for Fiscal Year 2024.

The letter states that there is significant evidence to support the use of focused ultrasound therapy to treat serious medical disorders impacting our veterans, including cancer and many neurological disorders, such as depression. There is also ongoing research to explore focused ultrasound’s role in treating chronic pain, which could reduce opioid dependence.
