Projects
1. Statistical analysis for the effect of focused ultrasound as a strategy for myeloid cell modulation and repolarization
2. Quantitative analysis of in-vivo microbubble distribution in the human brain

Project Goal
To use hypothesis tests to verify the effects of different treatments and to build predictive models to discriminate normal and tumoral brain tissue.

Why were you initially interested in working for the Foundation?
A professor in my department at the University of Virginia introduced me to the Foundation. I applied to this job hoping that I could learn and practice my statistical skills.

How has your internship affected your career plans?
After having the opportunity to witness an immunotherapy conference, I discovered the invaluable presence of focused ultrasound in the field of immunotherapy. As a result, I am now considering a potential career path in neuroimmunology.

How has your internship affected your career plans?
I would love to contribute what I learned to the biotech field.

What are your upcoming plans? What is your dream job?
I am considering applying for a PhD program in statistics. I would like to be a statistician for a biotech or a financial technology (i.e., fintech) company.
