$600,000 Grant Available for Brain Cancer Research

brain blueThe Sontag Foundation is offering a Distinguished Scientist Award (DSA) to an individual with projects that show potential to advance knowledge of causes, cure, or treatment of primary brain tumors and/or brain cancer.

The award includes $600,000 over a four-year period and is intended to support early career scientists. This year’s grants will run from approximately October 15, 2020, to September 30, 2024. Interested applicants are encouraged to read the Frequently Asked Questions.

Applications are due March 16, 2020.

Since its founding in 2002, The Sontag Foundation has awarded $35 million in support of Brain Cancer Research. Through its annual Distinguished Scientist Award, the Foundation continues to provide career and research support to early career scientists who have made significant advances in the field.
