Howard R. Soule, PhD, Executive Vice President and Chief Science Officer of the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF), will present a special lecture at the Foundation’s upcoming 7th International Symposium on Focused Ultrasound.

Dr. Soule will discuss the achievement of the PCF in moving from a nascent field into a critical mass of awareness, new treatments, and robust human capital.
For nearly 23 years, Dr. Soule has led the PCF scientific effort, dedicated to funding research to improve the prevention, detection, and treatment of prostate cancer and ultimately to discover a cure. In his current role, he coordinates global academic, government, and biopharmaceutical sector research activity and is responsible for the implementation of PCF’s global research strategies.
“I have been privileged during the past 2+ decades to lead scientific efforts that have resulted in new treatments to prolong the lives of advanced prostate cancer patients as well as creating a scientific and clinical critical mass of people dedicated to our mission and funded through our programs.”
Prior to joining PCF, Dr. Soule achieved experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Dr. Soule received his PhD from Baylor College of Medicine in Virology and Epidemiology and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Immunology and Vascular Biology at the Scripps Research Institute.
The 7th International Symposium on Focused Ultrasound will be held virtually November 9-13, 2020.
