Foundation Welcomes Two New Council Members

Allan C. Stam, PhD, is the Former Dean of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. He completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University in 1988 and holds an MA and PhD in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Allan said he considers joining the Council a great honor and is looking forward to participating in and supporting the work of the Foundation. “It is rare that a new technology emerges that has such extraordinary potential to affect peoples’ lives in such a positive way as focused ultrasound,” he said.

Deborah Caldwell

DCaldwell 150Deborah Caldwell is Vice President of Content Marketing at Bank of America. She previously held executive positions at Time Inc., CNBC, and Reader’s Digest Association. Earlier in her career, Deborah was a founding team member and Vice President of Content at Beliefnet, a Web 1.0 startup and recipient of multiple Webby Awards, the Online News Association Award for General Excellence, and the National Magazine Award for General Excellence Online. It was ultimately sold to News Corp in a successful exit. Deborah continues to stay involved in journalism, serving as a judge for Report for America, board member of Religion News Service, and a member of the Institute for Nonprofit News.
