The Foundation is pleased to announce that a generous anonymous donor has pledged a $15 million gift to be matched one-for-one. This means every dollar you contribute will be matched, doubling your impact.
When fulfilled, this $30 million infusion will accelerate vital research and advance focused ultrasound technologies to clinical application.
Focused ultrasound is being explored and gaining momentum to treat and manage more than 180 devastating conditions, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, glioblastoma, and pancreatic cancer, among others. However, rigorous scientific evidence is necessary for regulatory approvals, ensuring broader access and availability. The Foundation is currently funding over 130 projects with a total budget of approximately $20 million.
To meet the growing demand for innovative clinical trials, we anticipate needing additional investments over the next three years. These resources will enable us to scale the technology rapidly and improve the lives of millions globally.
“We are profoundly grateful for this remarkable pledge as it will help us fulfill our mission with greater speed and accelerate important new treatment options to patients in need,” said Neal F. Kassell, MD, founder and chairman of the Focused Ultrasound Foundation. “Every day that focused ultrasound isn’t available translates to unnecessary death, disability and suffering for countless people worldwide. We hope this gift will encourage new donors to support our mission and inspire our longstanding donors to continue their commitment.”
