Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO) Annual Scientific Meeting

SIO 2026 was held February 4–8 in Savannah, Georgia. With approximately 1,000 attendees, this conference features expert-led sessions, discussion of innovative practices, and opportunities to network with IO professionals. IO is considered as the fourth pillar of cancer therapy alongside medical, surgical, and radiation oncology.

“The field of interventional oncology is always progressing and advancing, and this was evident at the conference,” said Suzanne LeBlang, MD, the Foundation’s director of clinical relationships, who attended SIO 2026. “IO physicians have traditionally been fast to embrace new technologies to help care for patients.” 

HistoSonics sponsored one of the meeting’s Industry Breakfast Symposiums, and it was titled “Histotripsy in Practice: Real-World Experience, Evidence, and Future Frontiers.”
