BBC Features Parkinsonian Tremor Treatment

Published:

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) visited the University of Virginia earlier this year to document a patient being treated as part of the ongoing Parkinsonian Tremor clinical trial, led by UVA Neurosurgeon W. Jeffrey Elias, MD and funded by the Focused Ultrasound Foundation.

Surgeon Gabriel Weston follows the patient, whose Parkinson’s disease has created a tremor that affects the right side of his body, making everyday tasks challenging. The video highlights both the details of the treatment process and the dramatic results.
