Eight interns joined the Foundation for the summer months and worked with nine mentors on projects that included data analysis, clinical outcomes assessment, and grant funding.

One major theme that emerged in nearly all the projects was the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to help synthesize data, scan published research, and improve efficiency. One team even helped improve how the Foundation uses AI.

Now in its 13th year, the Foundation’s summer intern program is part of the Dan and Lou Jordan Focused Ultrasound Internship Program. The program was named in March 2024 and made possible by the generous financial support of Mr. Tom Johnson to recognize the Jordans’ contributions and show appreciation for their belief in the importance of education and cultivating the next generation of researchers and clinicians. Sadly, Dan Jordan, a longtime Board member, passed away just weeks after the naming ceremony.
