Published:

Key Points

  • ARPA-H is seeking input through tomorrowFebruary 21, about specific challenges facing medical devices seeking reimbursement.
  • Two unique therapeutic ultrasound projects were recently funded by ARPA-H.

The Foundation is encouraging the focused ultrasound community to respond to a new effort led by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Network: A Survey for Accelerating Medical Device and Diagnostic Reimbursement. The survey is open now through February 21, 2025.

The purpose of the survey is to gather insights from medical technology developers and manufacturers, healthcare providers, payors, and other key stakeholders about the typical pathways, exemplars, and specific challenges facing medical devices seeking reimbursement. Results from the survey will be used to better understand the reimbursement process for novel medical devices and diagnostics, and the findings will help inform ARPA-H of opportunities to deploy best-in-class services to support funding recipients and accelerate the reimbursement of promising medical solutions.

Survey responses are due by February 21, 2025.
