World-First Focused Ultrasound Equine Clinical Trial Underway

A team at Virginia Tech is exploring focused ultrasound to treat sarcoid tumors in horses.
This trial, which is being funded by the Foundation, represents an important milestone for our Veterinary Program.

Foundation-Funded Preclinical Research: Histotripsy Increases Immune Response, Amplifies Chemotherapy for Neuroblastoma

The project evaluated histotripsy as a new treatment for high-risk pediatric neuroblastoma.
The intervention significantly delayed tumor growth and created a systemic immune effect, especially when combined with chemotherapy.

Submit Manuscripts for ‘Ultrasound for Cancer Therapy’ Special Issue

MDPI Cancers is seeking articles for a special issue highlighting preclinical and clinical research advancing ultrasound as a noninvasive tool for cancer treatment.
The issue will be edited by Zhen Xu, PhD, and Natasha Sheybani, PhD, and submissions are due June 30.
