A New Focused Ultrasound System for Treating Multi-Focal Cancer

Researchers have developed a new focused ultrasound system for using hyperthermia to simultaneously treat several tumor spheroids.
The team designed and 3-D printed an acoustic hologram lens, then coupled it with a focused ultrasound transducer.
The new system more uniformly delivered thermal dose.
