Foundation's Asia Program Gathers Momentum

Foundation staff recently visited Hong Kong and Taiwan. With the support of Board and Council members, our Asia Program continues to gather momentum, build connections, and foster collaboration throughout our global focused ultrasound community.

Foundation's 2019 Spring Report Published

The Foundation’s 2019 spring report reviews important updates on our programs, clinical trials, and other research milestones, as well as awareness efforts, and much more. 


CORRECTION: To clarify an earlier report regarding the use of ultrasound to open the blood-brain barrier (BBB) to treat glioblastoma, CarThera’s recent SonoCloud-1 trial is the first time in the world that the BBB had been opened to deliver drugs using a surgically implanted ultrasound device. A prior report stated that a different trial was "the world’s first clinical trial using focused ultrasound to open the BBB and allow chemotherapeutic agents to reach tumors more efficiently."
