Insightec Raises $150 Million to Advance Focused Ultrasound for Brain Applications

The financing round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company, Nexus Neurotech Ventures, and Ally Bridge Group.
The company plans to grow its focused ultrasound business for movement disorders and new applications.

Dr. Yang is the Director of the Tumor High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Department and chief physician at Ningbo No. 2 Hospital in China.

Orphan Drugs are pharmaceutical agents used to treat rare diseases, and the company has an ongoing clinical trial testing the combination therapy.
