New Clinical Trial Will Assess Brain Tumor Changes After Blood-Brain Barrier Opening

A team at the Mayo Clinic is seeking to better understand how blood-brain barrier opening affects the tumor microenvironment.
This research may inform future studies exploring how focused ultrasound can enhance the delivery and evaluation of therapeutic agents.

Neuromodulation Clinical Trial Launched to Treat Rheumatoid Arthritis

This research will evaluate whether Surf Therapeutic’s neuromodulation device can be used to activate a known anti-inflammatory pathway to relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.
The trial is taking place at two sites in Texas, but the company ultimately intends for patients to use the device at home.
