Foundation Welcomes Senior Advisor for Veterinary Initiatives

Nick Dervisis, DVM, PhD, DACVIM–Oncology, will advise on Foundation-funded veterinary clinical trials, interface with professional societies, and represent the Foundation at conferences.
Dr. Dervisis is also an associate professor of oncology at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

Research Awards Update: Eight Preclinical Projects Initiated in the First Quarter of 2023

The Foundation’s Research Awards Program has initiated eight preclinical studies this year.
Along with improving brain treatments, the funded projects use focused ultrasound to address Parkinson’s disease, pediatric neuroblastoma, tissue healing, cancer, and more.

Cancer Grand Challenges Offers $25 Million in Research Funding

Cancer Grand Challenges is seeking research proposals related to nine key areas in cancer.
Topics that may be relevant to the focused ultrasound community include pediatric solid tumors, T-cell receptors, ageing, and cancer inequities.
International teams are invited to apply by June 22.
