On July 23, the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU) broadcasted the next installment in its new series of “ISTU On Air’ webinars.

The University of Waterloo’s Alfred Yu, PhD, presented a in-depth look at how he studies the mechanisms behind sonoporation, which is a way to use focused ultrasound to reversibly create small holes in the cell wall enabling a drug to enter. In "Sonoporation: It's More Than a Poke," Dr. Yu shared that although it has been proven that sonoporation works, the way that it works is important to understand.
