SonALAsense Wins Brain Race Competition

logo SonALAsenseSonALAsense was recently named as one of 15 winners in a pool of 124 applicants in the Center for Advancing Innovation’s “Brain Race,” an open innovation contest to advance high-impact inventions and solutions to defeat brain tumors.

SonALAsense, which is developing a new 5-ALA formulation to be combined with sonodynamic therapy for the treatment of glioblastoma, won in the Innovation Spotlight category. The Brain Race intends to launch start-up companies with promising therapeutics, devices, diagnostics, and digital health solutions.

This work complements multiple studies that the Foundation supports of 5-ALA for the treatment of glioblastoma.
