SNO 2021 logoThe Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO) held its 26th annual meeting and education day in person in Boston from November 18–21, 2021.

Although the conference was held in person with COVID-19 health screening, many attendance options were included in a virtual/hybrid platform. One of the education day topics was biomarkers and precision design for clinical trials.

Susie at SNO 2021Suzanne LeBlang, MD, the Foundation’s Director of Clinical Relationships, and Foundation Intern Jackie Brenner attended the meeting. “The biomarker presentations were amazing, and we met many potential collaborators in the field,” said Dr. LeBlang. “We were also happy to participate in the Brain Tumor Nonprofit Leadership meeting where approximately 20 separate nonprofits have joined to share ideas and information including the American Brain tumor Association (ABTA), National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), Head for the Cure, Our Brain Bank, EndBrain Cancer, and others, and I predict the formation of resourceful collaborations with these organizations.”

The presentations on glioblastoma, diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas, and immunotherapy were particularly applicable to focused ultrasound research. See the Meeting Program >
