The National Cancer Institute is now posting funding opportunities for research that aligns with the mission of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative. The opportunities may be supported with existing funds or with the 21st Century Cures funding, and all publications and data resulting from the funding are to be shared.

We encourage researchers to visit the website to search for relevant opportunities and sign up to receive automatic email updates as postings are updated.

Former President Barack Obama established the Cancer Moonshot in 2016 to accelerate cancer research. The initiative – led by Vice President Joe Biden – aims to make more therapies available to patients as quickly as possible, in part by breaking down silos that are impediments to progress in cancer research in order to promote collaboration and data sharing.
