The Foundation’s Chief Scientific Officer Jessica Foley, PhD, was an invited speaker at the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission Educational Conference in Richmond, Virginia, held on October 29, 2019.
Dr. Foley participated in a session on “Cutting edge technology and the future of pain management,” where she provided an overview of the role of focused ultrasound in the treatment and management of pain. The session discussed “scientific and innovative technological advances that will revolutionize pain management, help injured workers cope with chronic pain and neurological disabilities and disorders, and improve quality of life.”
More than 80 attendees took part in the session, including rehabilitation medicine physicians, pain specialists, and workers’ compensation professionals.
