On-line Abstract Submission and Registration Will Open May 15 for 2nd International Symposium on MR-guided FUS

Researchers are invited to submit oral and poster presentation abstracts for the 2nd International Symposium on MR-guided Focused Ultrasound. The online submission process, administered by SPLTrak, will open on May 15 and close on August 16, 2010.

Abstracts covering late breaking research will be accepted from September 1 through 15, but will not be listed in the symposium program.

The Foundation welcomes abstracts related to preclinical, translational or clinical research that involves the use of MR-guided FUS. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Brain
  • Prostate
  • Breast
  • Liver
  • Uterine Fibroids and Fertility
  • Bone Tumors
  • Back and Neck Pain
  • Targeted Drug Delivery
  • Other emerging applications

Symposium registration

May 15 will also be the opening date for registering for the symposium, to be held at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia (near Dulles International Airport, Washington, DC, USA) from October 17 through 20, 2010.

Prior to August 1, symposium registration will be $350. Medical residents, students and trainees will receive a $100 discount.

On August 1, the registration fee will increase to $450. The fee for medical residents, students and trainees will be $300.

Symposium materials, breakfast and lunch are included in the cost of registration.
