The Focused Ultrasound Foundation is a unique, medical research, education, and advocacy organization created as the catalyst to accelerate the development and adoption of focused ultrasound by streamlining the process and overcoming barriers. Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, but with a global reach, the Foundation is a tax exempt, high-performance, entrepreneurial, service organization that is market-driven and results-oriented.
The Foundation is seeking a Research Administrator to facilitate grant management and provide project management for a selection of funded preclinical projects. This position serves as a member of the Research and Education Team interacting with project leads and the focused ultrasound community.
Roles and Responsibilities
Grant Management Process
- Direct the grant management process.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the projects within grant pipeline from abstract submission, through proposal review, and final selection decision.
- Ensure the process is efficient and effective.
- Provide reports and analysis to the Scientific leads and Senior Management.
- Communicate with the scientific community involved in the process.
Funded Research Projects Process
- Project manage a portion of FUSF funded projects.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the Salesforce CRM and Funded Project system.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all aspects of the funded project entry including deliverables and payments, project roles, project funding details, and contract details.
- Provide reports and analysis to the Scientific leads and Senior Management.
Minimum Education and Experience
- PhD or Master’s degree involving preclinical research or equivalent experience
- One to three years of work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database management systems
- Salesforce experience preferred, but not required; training will be provided upon hire
