Abstract

In this project we investigated standing wave formation in an ex vivo intact human calvarium using a clinical prototype of a large scale, low frequency (230 kHz), hemispherical transcranial MRgFUS phased array. Our measurement demonstrated that standing wave formation in the cranium was minimized using the large-scale, low f-number phased array.
