Abstract

Patients with pre-existing deep brain stimulation for the treatment of movement disorders may require further treatment, particularly on the contralateral side of the brain. This treatment could be performed using magnetic resonance guided focused ultrasound technology if it is compatible and safe in the setting of an implanted neurostimulator. This study aims to assess the safety and feasibility of MR-guided focused ultrasound lesioning in the setting of deep brain stimulation.
