OVERVIEW
The Foundation will fund studies including preclinical research, small clinical trials, and pilot studies related to the basic science of focused ultrasound surgery and combination therapies that include focused ultrasound.

PRIMARY GOALS
The goals of the program are as follows:
To develop new applications for focused ultrasound surgery
To increase the awareness of focused ultrasound technology and techniques
To facilitate regulatory approval and reimbursement for focused ultrasound procedures

AWARDS
Awards will be approximately $100k per year, although larger projects may be considered for exceptional proposals. Recipients of research support will participate within a collaborative network of FUS research sites in order to share results and leverage complimentary infrastructure.

Abstracts are accepted on a rolling basis. Invited full proposals are then evaluated quarterly, at the end of February, May, August, and November each year. Instructions for investigators can be downloaded here.

PROPOSAL REVIEW AND NOTIFICATION OF AWARDS
Upon receipt of the application, the Foundation will consider it for further development. Applicants will then be notified if they will be invited to submit full proposals. Additional detailed instructions for the preparation of full proposals will be provided at that time.
