OVERVIEW
The education of both clinicians and patients is critical to the adoption of MR-guided focused ultrasound surgery in clinical practice and as a standard of care. In order to increase the number of physicians trained in the use of MRgFUS, the Foundation will be awarding yearly fellowships to qualified physicians so they can assist in bringing this revolutionary technology to the forefront of medicine.

The Foundation is offering fellowships that will provide combined clinical and research opportunities with MR guided focused ultrasound surgery. These one year fellowships include an annual meeting of the fellows.

Applicants are encouraged from all clinical specialties, as well as from the public health and health policy research disciplines. Fellows may be part time or full time with up to $100,000 of support available.

PRIMARY GOALS
The goals of the Fellowship Program are as follows:
  1. To train a cadre of clinicians and investigators in clinical FUS treatment and research
  2. To develop new applications
  3. To create focused ultrasound surgery centers
  4. To establish the standards for training, competencies, certification and credentialing in focused ultrasound surgery
