We at the FUS Foundation recognized that a void existed regarding information for patients with uterine fibroids as well as access to the full range of treatment options – specifically in relation to focused ultrasound. In October of 2008, we launched Fibroid Relief (www.fibroidrelief.org), a patient support organization and advocacy group. Fibroid Relief is dedicated to supporting women suffering from uterine fibroids who seek non-invasive treatment alternatives.
Fibroid Relief is committed to raising awareness about the benefits of focused ultrasound and will work tirelessly to promote patient access through educational and advocacy activities.
As a patient support group, we at Fibroid Relief believe that all patients should have access to the most trusted and reliable health information. It is information that empowers patients to make the best decisions to maintain and improve their health and ultimately, informed patients can be their own advocates to partner with their physician and receive the best care for their own bodies.
