The ExAblate was displayed at the German Federal Chancellery where seven of the country’s top employers were invited to set up educational exhibits. Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), a prominent German health insurer that recently began offering reimbursement for FUS treatments for uterine fibroids, opted to feature the ExAblate.
On hand to demonstrate the system was Dr. Matthias Matzko of the Amper Kliniken AG in Dachau. One of four German facilities now treating uterine fibroids with FUS, the clinic was instrumental in gaining TK’s reimbursement approval.
