The Focused Ultrasound Surgery Foundation is honored to announce that three leading researchers have joined its Advisory Committees.
Katherine Whittaker Ferrara, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of California, Davis, has joined the Foundation’s Research Advisory Committee. The RAC is an independent panel that evaluates research award proposals submitted to the Foundation. Currently, the RAC consists of 29 leading figures in focused ultrasound from academia, industry and government.
New members of the Foundation’s Fellowship Advisory Committee are Graeme Houston, M.D. and Ernst Martin, M.D.
Houston is Professor, Department of Clinical Radiology, Nineswells Hospital and Medical School at the University of Dundee in Scotland.
Martin is Professor, Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Neuroradiology at University Children’s Hospital in Zurich.
An independent panel, the Fellowship Advisory Committee evaluates all fellowship funding proposals received by the Foundation and now includes specialists in radiology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, gynecology, pediatric neuroradiology and neurosurgery.
