Many attendees expressed their excitement after learning of the future role that MRgFUS can plan in the treatment of different cancers, stroke and uterine fibroids during a program which covered the current and future applications of MRgFUS.
The large number of physicians attending the meeting was welcomed by organizers as a clear indication that MRgFUS is moving towards acceptance in the mainstream of medicine. Nearly half of the attendees were M.D.s in specialties including radiology, radiation oncology, and surgical specialties such as prostate, breast, brain and gynecology.
The meeting also attracted a large number of scientists, medical physicists, industry researchers, and engineers.
